Hello friends! :D It has started out to be a beautiful summer!!! We had a great weekend with MacKenzie's dance recital. She worked so hard over the entire school year and did an amazing job dancing. WE ARE SO PROUD!!!
Now onto the title of this post.... I have read 3 books in the past week. Oh how I love to read. I've been cramming in a chapter or two every spare minute I get. Today I started reading MacKenzie the Boxcar Children series. My mother used to read these books to me when I was little and I LOVED them so much! MacKenzie struggles right now with trying to learn to read. She has become very frustrated. So as I encourage her to read on her own I want to read to her every day during the younger two's nap time. There are so many things you can learn and so many places your imagination can take you while reading. I hope that MacKenzie will learn to love to read like I do.
I intend on reading a lot this summer. These are the books I have read in the past week... Amish Peace and The Choice by Suzanne Summer Woods and Once Upon a Summer by Janette Oke. I have started The winds of Autumn by Janette Oke today. I will hopefully make it through all of Janette Oke's books by the end of summer and I hope that MacKenzie and I can make it through at least half of the Boxcar Children books by the time school starts up again. I'll keep you updated on our list as we continue to read!! :D
